I feel weird.

Like in ways I can't explain...but not in the way that this post may make it seem! :P

Rawr...I want to punch something...and be held at the same time.

I am confused about many things, things are not going the way that I planned/anticipated.

Somehow I swayed back to being an INTP... I tend to waver between INFP and INTP like a flag during a typhoon...

INTP - "Architect". Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population.

Yeah I definitely feel misplaced. I don't belong here, that's for sure. Now the interesting part is finding out where I do. I find it somehow amusing that I am assertive and withdrawn at the same time. Talk about passive-aggressive. Lol. XD

My head hurts.

Nervousness is me

  • Nov. 6th, 2009 at 9:39 PM
The test is tomorrow. I'm scared, even though I did very well on the practice one.
I can't help but feel like I'm gonna fuck up or something. I don't do well with this kind of stuff, obviously. haha

Hmm, I noticed something lately too...I don't really talk with very many people online. lol Just in general. My buddy list...is probably more than half-filled with people I don't talk to and there are MANY people that I'd like to talk to...but I'm too shy to ask for any sort of contact information. This goes for both people in my real life, and those who are part of my online social life.

Somehow, I feel forgotten. O_O;

La Vie en Rose

  • Nov. 6th, 2009 at 1:36 AM
Halloween was a blast. Everyone was dressed up, of course, so we all took a lot of pictures before the club opened. Check my facebook for such things, or ask me to send you a link. There were some cool costumes. Rudy dressed as Prince and had fake ass cheeks showing. He won our little employee costume contest in the club. We had opened an hour early and stayed open an extra half hour later. I was really surprised that we had so many people show up, I wasn't expecting much of a turnout at all--and even less in costume. But, mostly everyone came dressed up and we were pretty packed. This guy dressed as the Joker from Dark Knight won our costume contest, but he wasn't just dressed as Joker. He actually dressed as the Joker dressed as a nurse, from the scene where Joker goes to see Harvey Dent in the hospital. He had all the mannerisms down and everything, which is why I thought he was really good.

After work we hit our afterparty. Just about everyone showed up, it was a really good time. It was by far our craziest gathering so far. We had haircuts in the garage, drinks being thrown at the cieling, people passing out, girl on girl action, guys ripping their shirts off and trying to wrestle other people, guys getting called out on girls from work... Quite the evening. I didn't actually get as drunk as I had planned, but that's okay. I remember Greg sayiing something about already doing another kickback this weekend cus it will be the last time we can before he sells the house. If we do, I'll atempt drunken blogging again.

In more mundane news, I went to buy some new jeans today. I only have one pair and they're almost on their way to the bin so I figured I should go get a pair. When I went to check on scrubs prices, I stopped in and looked at some jeans and I should've bought them then. They were $10 more when I went today, so I only bought 1 pair instead of the 2 I planned. I also bought a really cheap t-shirt that was on clearance. It's just a black tee, but has some grey sewed into the sleeves and collar so it looks like I'm wearing 2 shirts. It was only $5. I need some more new clothes, I pretty much hate 90% of my wardrobe and kind of want to do an overhaul.

I would like to make 2 musical recommendations. The first being a Norwegian pop singer named Maria Mena. She's quite fantastic and I really enjoy her. I liked a song of hers back in the day, but only recently remembered her and since fell in love with her. The other is the first volume of the Glee soundtrack. If you like the show, you'll love the album. It's just very good and I can't stop listening to it.

I've been wrestling with some tough decisions lately, tough for me at least.  Hopefully I can resolve them soon (and with a positive outcome). I'll keep you posted.

Newly pantalooned,
ten.

The empire strikes back

In recent weeks, we've taken huge steps towards blocking spam accounts on LiveJournal. In fact, we've suspended as many as 30,000 accounts in a single day! We've implemented several pre-emptive measures to prevent the creation of spam accounts, and we've honed our detection of suspicious content. Spam bots are a crafty lot, so we'll continue to refine our tactics and keep up the good fight to keep you safe from spam attacks on LiveJournal.

RSS feeds again

If you're addicted to [info]xkcd_rss, [info]icanhaschzbrgr, or other syndicated feeds, we're pleased to report that we've resolved the update error that was mucking up your RSS feeds. While content was being pulled correctly, it wasn't being posted to the feeds themselves. Late last week, we finally nailed down what we hope was the root problem, so content should post properly. We thank you for your patience.

I'm sorry to disappoint you commie, my dear. But I'm almost 100% sober by now (and yes, I did just get home from the party, 20 minutes ago).

A good time was had by all.

By that I’m referring to both the migraine I’ve had for the past few days and this:

I’M LEAVING.

Yup. Seeya on Blogspot/Blogger :(

EDIT: If you're reading this, our maintenance is OVER! The problem was not found on our equipment, which means we'll have to work with our ISP to fix this small problem -- which also means another maintenance window in the future -- but at least we have eliminated our side.

Thank you everyone, and a special shout out to [info]rekoil for giving me a great suggestion AND also the opportunity to feel like I've just called in to a local radio station.

Have a great day, night or afternoon wherever you may be.

---

Hi everyone, sorry for the late notice but I'm going to have to do some testing on 1 of our 4 internet circuits TONIGHT; Friday night or Saturday morning depending on which time zone you're in.

Most of us shouldn't notice any impact, though there may be some slowness or lag when I switch traffic on to our other ISP circuits and then another hit when I stop the tests. If a page won't load or times out, try hitting refresh 1 or 2 times and it should load then. If it doesn't work at all... trust me, I'll be typing really really really fast to try to undo whatever I just did. Hopefully you'll have some Halloween candy (if you're in the USA and celebrate that kind of thing) nearby to take away the bitterness of a small site outage. :(

Here's the handy-dandy Website That I Always Use to get a feel for when the maintenance will start in your area. Our site traffic historically dips on Friday afternoons until Saturday morning which is why we tend to pick this time for maintenance work.

status.livejournal.org will, of course be updated before and after the maintenance window. Or else [info]marta will get mad at me. :D

Oh shit...

It's been so long since I posted here. And I kinda miss it, to be honest.
Not too much has happened since I last posted. I started junior year. I'm stressed and broken down. My grades are the worst they've ever been in my life.
No one wants to talk to me anymore. Not people in my real life but my old friends online...I wonder what I did wrong.
Meh, I guess I shouldn't worry about that, huh? It was bound to happen, now wasn't it? I have a knack for driving people away and ending up alone...
Yup.
